I will be spending OPM in Brisbane next week and if anyone would like to have a coffee please DM me and I can try to catch up. Thursday will suit me best.

I'll be busy in large around Queen St., Eagle St., George St., Southbank, South Brisbane area mostly, but would prefer to have coffee indoors as Brisbane is particularly cold at this time of year.

As the distancing rules will probably have changed by then we may have to alter our plans, as we go.

Dress will be smart casual although I have spoken to the Hilton manager who will be tolerant of ASF members reasonable attire.

For NSW brethren and sorority please wear at least your goinout thongs.

I have arranged for people from Byron Bay to tie their poodles up outside the Hilton. The mutts will be cared for by my man, Josef Švejk.

I will give every attendee a signed Garpal Gumnut attendance certificate to claim reasonable expenses off your 2021 ATO Assessment.

GG will this develop into a National meet and greet tour, when the borders are opened, if so don't forget Perth.
Being bereft of overseas acts and the fact Harry and Mehgan are currently house hunting in the U.S, a visit from far North Queensland Royalty would be very welcome.
Especially if, as Sir Rumpole said, it is a free extravaganza.
Will you be driving? If so I will forewarn the police at Eucla, so an escort can be arranged.

Thank you @sptrawler . You are very kind.

When I visit WA I usually go straight out from Townsville via Charters Towers to Three Ways in the NT. I then turn right and then North to Katherine. I then turn left to the Swan River Colony.

I prefer to "gun" the Arnage, put on the noise cancelling headphones and listen to Jethro Tull or Cream. Too many turns spoil the trip for me. I also never, ever wish to cross the Nullarbor.

The offer of a police escort is kind, but for obvious reasons in the preceding paragraph I prefer to let them catch others.

El Questro, Eva Gorge and the Gibb River Rd. hold great attachment for me as I have some considerable gold bar buried in that vicinity from the early 1980's and 1990's, before it became over run with distressed grey nomads only used to suburban driving.

Once Covid finishes in 2024 or 2025, I will definitely visit.

Just for the record and to bring this thread to an end

CONTRARY TO SOME POSTS I WAS UNABLE TO MEET ANY MEMBERS OF ASF IN BRISBANE OVER THIS LAST WEEK, NEITHER AT THE HILTON NOR ANYWHERE ELSE.

Some offered to meet but our schedules did not enable that, and I have arranged to contact those via DM next time I travel to Brisvegas.

And now back to the Stock threads.

Do let us know when in town next. I'd love to compare the Bugatti to the Arnage :p

The first Mrs Gumnut's father owned one of Ettore's gems, back in the day.

Looking forward to compare, or is it one of the new ones?

Both the Bugatti and 2CV were made in French factories. Well the former in Molsheim, Alsace, which remains French, as we speak.
