CAY - Canyon Resources

.
Simple Google search says Cameroon is no where to be a world class bauxite deposit.

The company published a report today.
I read it and could not find any encouraging statement to declare it as a rapid path way to production.
DFS is due to be finished on Q3 2025 (CY or FY 25?). DFS outcome will go through a long process of selection of FEED, approval of FID, approval of environmental hurdles and addressing gaps on DFS. That whole takes 2 years by industry standard. Oh, yes, placement of long lead capital equipments meaning a must have CR.
What I do foresee that Next Investors will ramp up the price today or tomorrow on this ASX posting .

I could be biased having worked in Weipa, but by far, Weipa deposit is still one of the best in world in terms of quantity and quality. The production is so cheap as well.
So I will be watching to quit my speculative holding of CAY if the price rises today on this ramping news. @DrBourse @Sean K @finicky

Should have told me to buy this 12 months ago, Miner. Shame on you.

I've never looked at bauxite, so I have no idea.

Not been to Cameroon either.

I do know that 2.3% of the population are pygmies, which is an interesting stat. Might be good for bauxite mining?

This little monster went up near 30% today. I had it in the comp a few months ago and the price fell. I decided to buy some pre-fall and am just back in profit.

They have now rail and port access to shift bauxite out of Cameroon.

I believe @Miner is a holder as well.

got in at 17c gg, very happy holder today

they did get a "please explain" from the asx too.

Well done @countrylad .

I'm down with influenza so had little to do and none of my usual avenues of inquiry could find a reason for the rise neither.

17c. I'm impressed. I'd have to check but mine was 27c or thereabouts, which shows how elastic this stock's price is over a few months. I just found it attractive ... bauxite, mine, railway, port and permits. When it gets to $27 I'll be after my 10c from you.

Yes GOR is being taken over GG not due to go through until September, I have the sell placed at a point that I am happy if it gets taken (probably unrealistic), if not will wait for the pay out.

CAY as far as a speccie has got a lot of good news stories about it, if this plays out yes it will be a very good outcome for anyone invested.

Yes it is a good range however, I think BOE and DVP are starting to leave that speccie area of the ASX, and turn into hopefully some good compounders that print cash and look after their shareholders appropriately.

All this or course in my opinion only and never intended as financial advise.

@countrylad CAY has just issued 350m. stock to Eagle Eye Asset Holding EEA on unquoted options. Cost to them 7c a share.

They are now over 50% in shareholding. I nearly added to my holdings on Friday but was scared off by the Juju men in Guinea and Niger and other effin awful effin places run by people with fat wives who shop in Singapore and insatiable appetites for large scale robbery and exploitation of their own people who are no better than they are.

I may sell, I may hold, decisions.

@Garpal Gumnut I can only hope the Eagle Eye and my goals are the same, making moola

Eagle Eye do have an interest in the Aluminium Refinery at the end of the rail line too, I think they are trying to get their supply line all tied up, mine, transport by rail supply the refinery.

Its all happening in Africa at the moment AMD in a trading halt, now a shareholder who cam basically run a publicly listed company as their own private entity

Thanks for that, I didn't know EEA had an interest in the refinery. These guys earn their money on big bets in 'orrible places.

@countrylad Mr. Gupta and Eagle eye now hold 49.5% of CAY as per an announcement on 5/6/2025 so it is likely us small shareholders will be denied any premium.

A chart.

You almost hope for a capital raise that he cannot participate in to pay back some of the money he lent to lessen his holding. Or he is a good bloke and holds where he is and CAYs starts to print money and he lets the little bloke get a lick of the ice cream too.

I think the reason big blokes eat all the ice cream is how they became to be big blokes.
