Good evening everyone and welcome to the April 2020 stock tipping competition entry thread! :)

My, hasn't March been an interesting month? There is a veritable sea of red on the competition leaderboard this month. Nobody quite saw this coming, did they? The question is, can you profit in April from the March market rout? Put on your thinking caps people. It's gonna be a tough one.

The April competition is proudly sponsored by FP Markets, an Australian owned and ASIC regulated broker with over 12 years experience and 35 industry awards including Highest Overall Client Satisfaction 5 years running. They facilitate trading in equities, indices, commodities, futures, Forex and Bitcoin via their MetaTrader4 platform.

FP Markets offer 10,000+ equities, indices and commodities across all major international markets. All equity CFDs are DMA priced and 100% hedged. FP Markets are not a market maker so their interests are aligned with that of their clients. You can go long on everything listed on the ASX and international markets and they have the widest short offering of any Australian broker.

A quick recap of the rules for those not familiar with them:

    1. Each entrant may choose one ASX listed stock. Options, warrants and deferred settlement shares are not permitted.

    2. Stocks with a price of less than $0.01 are ineligible for the competition, as are stocks that are currently suspended from trading.

    3. Either before or after posting your entry and before the deadline for entries you must post in the forum thread of the stock you have entered providing either a general update or a view on why you think the share price is going to increase in the short term.

    4. The winner is the entrant whose selected stock performs the best in percentage terms between the close of trading on March 31 (entry price) and the close of trading on April 30.

    5. The maximum number of entrants in the competition is 100.

The entry price for all entries is the closing price on the last trading day of this month.

The competition winner will receive $100. The second placegetter will win $50 and the third placegetter $25.

You have until midnight on Tuesday, 31 March to enter. However, in practice, entries can be submitted until this thread is closed. No entries submitted after that can be accepted for any reason.

Please post your entries in this thread. Remember, once you have selected your stock, you CANNOT change it for any reason.

Best of luck to all entrants! :xyxthumbs

or the least -ve decrease if the stock market continues to plummet.:oops::(

The winners have to be in the black. If there's only one entrant in positive territory at the end of the month then only a first prize is awarded.

maiden aircore drilling in the East Lachlan Fold Belt looking for halos potentially indicative of mineralising systems

If PZ99 is on BBOZ, I'll take BBUS.

    BBUS
I'm expecting a quick little bounce within the next few days (Trump to chuck in a few billion - stimi money.)
The economy is buggered, but let's see a bit more blood!

    OOO Thanks Joe.

A couple of inverse ETF selections, I see. You could be a little late. I'm getting in early and selecting another commodity that's been sold off too much. There's another week of March to go but I reckon the Saudi's will wait it out until April. I hope the Crown Prince reads ASF.

Putin and the prince have been very chummy of late... wondering if there is collusion going on. Multi pronged, will let you have a guess at the other major economy involved.
Poo, the virus, ...then gold. Beware.
    US strongholds chopped.
Not sure what or who the 4th prong is going to be.

That's an ETF, not a stock. Does this fall inside the guidelines of this comp?

Can I pick PNC? It fell 39.8% today on an up day.

@frugal.rock I think this will beat QAN in terms of drop next month. If only I could FLT but it is in a trading halt.

If I was a stock instead of human, I would probably be PNC: things not going well.
