I'm a relative newbie.
For ordinary shareholders -- what does the BG takeover mean. Does one have to sell the QGC shares, will the company contact shareholders and "repatriate" shares or does one get shares in another company?

I always assumed that the ASX listed "GOLD" tracked the gold price fairly accurately.
However, when the gold price was around $850 in early May 08, GOLD could be bought for about $89 per share on the ASX.
Today, with the gold price just above $800, GOLD sold at about $92.
Can anyone point me to a website where I can access monthly and annual percentage returns for common indices. I have looked at Commsec, the ASX, Yahoo finance and Google finance without success. These services do provide graphical data, but not the actual percentage returns.
Does one get a totally new account number with this account.
All my dividends are currently paid into my CDIA account. If I take up the new offer, does that mean I have to change all the account details for dividend payments?
