    Australian Federal Election - 2019

The AFR (Fairfax) is giving Labor a lot of stick over its hesitation on the tax cuts. Scott Morrison is I would suggest less amenable to bend than Malcolm Turnbull was as PM, especially after the Coalition's unexpected election victory. A divided Labor will buckle first.

    The ScoMo Government

With Tony Abbott now out of the parliament, it will hopefully be easier to unite the party on energy and climate policy. At this stage, I don't care if it's the current policy settings or something different, as long as the party is united. That will provide the soundest foundation from which...

    Australian Federal Election - 2019

The following SMH article is best read with a light rendition of Solidarity Forever playing in the background. https://www.smh.com.au/federal-election-2019/drowning-in-hubris-labor-s-lavish-last-supper-before-crushing-loss-20190520-p51p6z.html

    Useless Labor Party

Bill Shorten has gone back to doing what he does best, working the phones. He'll cast a dark shadow over Labor as long as he remains in parliament.

    Australian Federal Election - 2019

Laura Tingle aged 10 years in 6 hours. Can't wait to watch Insiders in the morning. Well done ScoMo. A miracle indeed.

    Australian Federal Election - 2019

No prizes for guessing who I'll vote for. Labor I'm anticipating will win, either in minority or with a small majority. ScoMo has done will to get the polls as close as they are. It doesn't look quiet close enough but I do hope otherwise.

    Australian Federal Election - 2019

His "birthday cake" moment ? The cracks were always going to show when subjected to scrutiny. It's only been division within the government that to this point has prevented that.

    Useless Labor Party

I've been busier than in the past and I've noted perhaps the faintest glimmer of light in the distance for my preference between the two majors. A closer contest, should that play out, makes for a more interesting one.

    Useless Labor Party

The Greens are spitting blood but Bill is not so keen. It's good to be back. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-02-19/nauru-law-could-threaten-medical-evacuation-bill/10826260

    The ScoMo Government

Interesting week. I can only assume Bill Shorten is papering over divisions within his own party on border security to take on the government and PM ScoMo on in this policy area. It doesn't make sense otherwise when Labor, on published polling, is cruising towards an easy victory in the...

Peter Dutton - The Great Pretender?

ScoMo has a very tough tasks ahead of him, but he was the immigration minister who stopped the boats against all manner of criticism. Also remember the Bill Shorten's leadership of Labor under the surface is brittle, as evidenced by Anthony Albanese's positioning prior to the Super Saturday...

    The Turnbull Government

The final act may be Tony Abbot's gay sister running for Wentworth as a Lib.

Peter Dutton - The Great Pretender?

    I'm relieved it wasn't PD.

    The ScoMo Government

After the past week in particular, the new PM and deputy will need to rebuild trust with the electorate that his party can continue to govern and critical to that, that it's a united team. That won't be easy, but one difference between this coup and the previous one's against the sitting PM is...

Is Scott Morrison our next PM?

With ScoMo as PM, I might be able to get back to a favourite pastime, It was FWA, the body established by Labor when they were in office that cut penalty rates. My bolds.
