What is the general consensus on this account for trading ASX equities?

My plan is to swing trade primarily, 2 - 3 trades per week most likely.

Start off with 10k to play with. Good risk management and trading plan.

I will primarily be using technical analysis with 20% of time going into fundamental analysis.

$11 per trade seems to be the cheapest in AU too..

I use CMC and Bell Direct. I have found CMC to be very good and have had no issues with them. I place about 5 trades per month with CMC.

I have used CMC for a few years now and can't fault them. I do at least 300 trades a year (> 10 a month) so my brokerage is 9.90 per trade plus free live click to refresh data. I use conditional orders a lot (stops, limit orders and take profits) and have never had an issue. Extracting reports for tax is a breeze too and customer service is great. I highly recommend them.

PS. their technical and fundamental analysis / data is comprehensive. I don't use this personally but it looks pretty good.

I agree with the comments above.

CMC Stockbroking is good value. I use CMC to perform all my trades and have used them since 2008 with no issues.

I use Comsec for market research and live prices.

    Happy with CMC markets

    Cheers

    Hello,

I read in this forum that CMC sets its own price. Is this true for stockbroking or just for CFD only?

    Thanks.

Anyone noticed the 'pro' platform link is missing since Monday?

    Or is it just me?

Hi, migrated from comsec to cmc last year (because of transaction costs). I am generally happy. Only thing that I am missing is another high interest account to park my money when I am not trading. Cmc is using bank west. Might have to see if possible to open a new bankwest account and use it to transfer money fast between cmc account and hi interest account

Well if you hold a trading account and a high interest account n the same bank, transfer time should be .. on the spot. But if my trading account is at bankwest and high interest account at ... lets say cba ... then it might take 3 days
