Good evening all,
Since 2 of my stocks are presently in the process of attempting to acquire another company; I thought I would pose this question (as I've never held a stock that's failed to acquire!)
What happens to the predators price if they simply walk away from their offer? A lot of people seem to state that the price will suddenly bounce back, but I can't imagine that happening? I'm sure it also depends on the individual stocks specifics, & other market factors in general, as well.
Do the prey stocks tend to fall to the price they were prior to the offer? The theoretical answer to these questions would be yes, but theory usually doesn't quite pan out as per expectations!
Can anyone provide any examples of stocks that have actually bounced back after a failed attempt?
Thanking you in advance!
