Should there be more decisions for the Third Umpire in cricket? footy etc?
Footy offside? forward passes? (I'm probably thinking rugby here - but stand to be corrected or educated about the aerial pingpong game)
We'd have beaten the Iti's in the Soccer World cup for starters - dive queens !
Symonds happily admits he should have been given out (at 37?).Symonds leads Aussie recovery

Andrew Symonds smashed a breathtaking century in a record partnership with Brad Hogg to put Australia in control of the second Test against India at stumps on day one at the SCG on Wednesday.
Symonds was twice given the benefit of the doubt to loud appeals from the Indians before he had reached 50 but hardly played another false shot as the tourists failed to capitalise on their great start.
Poor umpiring decisions.
Likewise Ponting should have been out earlier.
Some like the "human element" that the umpire adds
But in my mind, the test is no longer worth watching.
Or rather the result is irrelevant - a potentially serious cricket match has been the loser.
How can they ask people to watch (4-) 5 days of a match, and intersperse it with hopeless umpiring decisions. Be different ( to some extent) if they were playing 2020 or baseball which was just a few hours and "time is of the essence"
Just let em refer the hard decisions - probably we are talking a couple per hour (cricket) thassall.
