Do not know where it came from but we all know the term
"A picture tells a thousand words"
Painting and art has been a passion of mine since I was 4 years old, 58 years ago (thats telling) and eventually completed the whole trip at RMIT in fine art.
The great lagacy of any learning is that it helps one to hopefully think for him/herself. Art helps our dreaming/imagination to concieve of ideas, it makes us wonder. There are many other ways of course but this is mine.
Such dreaming and thinking is what is known as the abstract. Anyway I do not want to rant on but see where we can go from the basic abstract elements as I know them. And I will be pleased if it may be corrected.
I see the straight line as representing/equals infinity
The square and the triangle evolved from thinking so they equal/represent intelligence; and
The circle goes nowhere equals nothing but like the line it has no end and it is shaped like a zero, but could we relate it to infinity?
Interstingly the circle is the wheel apon what the industrial revolution was built, which led to environmental destruction and which may lead to exctinction.
