Its a pain isnt it... anytime anything interesting happens on the market the server has a brain explosion.
This is one of the worst I've seen for e-trade, even worse than the Feb 27-28th correction

I can get in, but cant see my portfolio.
Has anyone had problems accessing the etrade website today? I know they did some sort of an upgrade over the weekend but the website seems to be down - 5 minutes before open!!!
Anyone able to access it or is it just me?

Yeh, actually having problems this morning I have never experienced before.
Refreshing my portfolio view only works about half the times.
I had a nice surprise when I opened my portfolio view - showed that this morning I'd made a 376,821% gain on my holdings!!
Needless to say I sprayed my breakfast across the desk but then I noticed that my cost basis for all my stocks had been set to 0 by etrade
I made 100% losses on half of my portfolio when last price was $0.
Whoever got those shares got a real bargain

there is definitely issues this morning.
Site is running like crap. I would say it has something to do with the maintenance they performed over the weekend.
Sure is making it very unpleasant to work with.
Was just about to start a new thread on E*Trade having problems...
Been on hold now for over 30 mins waiting for them to cancel an order I submitted this morning, never had this problem before and it happens to be a very large order so not impressed.
Considering closing my account because of this...
Well I gave up after around 40 mins on hold on the phone waiting to speak to someone, just noticed the ASX rejected my cancel order which I have never seen happen before.
Absolutely disgusted by this and how they haven't thoroughly tested their new system before putting it live. This is potentially costing clients money and you can't even speak to a consultant to manually place an order on your behalf, which I thought was a fail-safe system if their servers don't work.
What sort of sevice is e-trade providing for it's customers? I dont like to whinge but this has cost me $$. Is there a more reliable site? Comsec ect?
