Just a general question to all the traders out there that operate multiple screens concurrently. Apart from the obvious “its looks really cool and I’ll look like I really know what the hell I am doing” , are there really any advantages in running two or three 17” to 19” screens as opposed to one big screen (say 30”).
The reason I am asking the question is because my trading computer is on its last legs and I am thinking of upgrading. If there are advantages in the multi-screen setup, then I’ll go with that option, otherwise I go with the larger single screen.
For the larger screen, I have a 32” LCD TV (resolution 1366 x 768) which I can hook the computer to. Unfortunately, as a TV, its native resolution is even less than many dedicated LCD computer monitors (1400 x 900, not being uncommon for a 19” Wide screen). Therefore, is there anybody that is using LCD TV as their trading monitors and does its lower resolution make it impractical for share trading purposes, given the close proximity of the user to the screen.
Appreciate any advice and thanks in advance.
