ANZ to introduce ink-staining theft technology
Banking group ANZ is introducing an ink-staining technology in its ATMs to deter thieves.
ANZ will be the first Australian bank to use the chemical system known as Fluiditi, which has been used in more than 3,000 ATMs elsewhere around the world.
The bank has conducted a pilot program over the past six months and will now extend the technology to an undisclosed number of its 1,900 ATMs nationwide.
ANZ says it is important that people know stained money is most likely to have been stolen and the police should be contacted.
Thieves should be stopped in their tracks, not property should be protected.
But thanks to current mentality and seemingly logical solution, insurance Co’s have a payday every day.
We pay thieves and insurance Co’s, so they can achieve better profit every year.
