Hi Joe or anyone who can help
It appears to me that users listed as online might not actually even have their pc's turned on at that time
About 10 mins ago a few electrons must have gone awol or something because my pc had a massive seizure and I had to turn the power off to reboot. Obviously I didn't have a chance to click the Logout button prior to turning off the power to my pc.
When my pc rebooted and was back in the land of the living I went to this site's home page and lo and behold I saw that I was still logged on.
As an experiment, without clicking the Logout button I then clicked the 'x' in the top right hand corner of my IE browser to close the window and after I came back to this home page I again saw that I was still logged on.
So my query is: if a user powers off his/her pc or clicks the browser 'x' button without clicking the Logout button first, is he/she actually logged off and does their username disappear from the online users list and reappear when they reconnect to this site, or does their username remain on the online users list at all times until they eventually click Logout thus giving a misleading indication that they are actually there when in reality they are not?
