What is the game of thrones a movie series or something I have heard a little about it.
But arent they the Starks?
Take it easy with the all caps and exclamation marks please! Thread title edited.
Are the episodes on youtube?
For a few men to be rich, many men must be poor.
A thread title of "Game of Thrones Spoilers" would have been more appropriate.
I know better than to read a topic on a show I haven't caught up with yet. But unfortunately I let my mouse hover on this topic heading on the main screen. When you do that you can see the first line of the first post. Now I know something I wish I didn't.
Its not a spoiler alert... I didnt say who died nor which season.
Talking of Season 3 Episode 9 I assume... and yes we are both hooked in this house! The season finale should be a corker. Not happy we'll be looking at another 9 odd months (? - I think I read March 2014) before season 4, so we've bought the books and they are surprisingly easy to read. It must be said Mrs SJP is very patient as I "pause" the show to confirm who has just been killed/murdered/wed etc, who they are related to, and how they fit into the big picture.
(They're not all dead... as far as I recall only 2 Starks died in this episode - "The Red Wedding")..
the kids, Bran, Sansa, Arya, Rickon and of course Jon Snow are all alive and well. Only 2 were killed, but what an episode!

Almost 2 and 1/2 years since book 5. The wait is killing me. At least I won't have to re-read them all this time, there are now plenty of SoIaF wikis and of course the TV series will help fill in the gaps I've forgotten by the time he finally finishes book 6, whenever that is.
The "Red Wedding" was very suspenseful to me... but this was 10 years ago, so I'm a little fuzzy on my original reaction.
Stick at it though... the series just gets better and better and better IMO. Dare I say it, as cruel as it feels, it is worth the years I have had to wait along the journey.
"And if Martin, 64, should happen to die before he finishes the series? He says he's given the show's producers a rough outline of what happens in the final two novels. One way or another, winter will finally come."
"George R.R. Martin/Game of Thrones-series fans will either be angry or overjoyed at HarperCollins' recent announcement: the 'A Song of Ice and Fire' author will be coming out with a new book in December, The Wit and Wisdom of Tyrion Lannister.
HarperCollins confirmed this last night at their showcase of fall book titles.
The new book will apparently be a compilation of Martin's favorite of the beloved character's witty musings."
"My problem is simple. I don't know what I don't know."
Meanwhile GOT just keeps building - another slow burner TV series that's delivering what the fans want, in one way or another.

How people can get so taken in by a work of fiction I don't know.
