I find the left media and ALP's attack on Tony Abbott's mention of " Women of Calibre " quite amazing.
Women have for so long been held as second class citizens by the misogyny of male dominated unions and "old man " ALP politicians.
The dearth of women in Union and ALP positions is evidence of this.
The Liberal - National coalition has no problems in attracting women to office.
The Health Services Union's attitude to credit card funded use of female prostitutes is appalling.
Mr.Abbott's position seems to be that all women are of high calibre and should not be prevented from achievement by pregnancy and rearing of their children.
A payment through late pregnancy and child rearing would equal the field for women competing with men in employment positions.
At last we have a politician who recognises the strength of women throughout all Australian society, held back by antiquated Left opinions of a woman's place in the home, without pay.
All women in my opinion are of calibre, and I agree with Tony Abbott.
