I received an email from GFT that they decided "over the weekend" that all Australian clients accounts that are US based (all accounts prior to June this year) are to be closed by Friday this week and that I have to agree to a move to UK based. All active trades will be closed our on Friday and I cannot open any positions forthwith. Further, I am given 1 month to get any statements that my crystal ball thinks I will need as I will no longer have any access to the account.
I cannot understand how a company can ignore its client base and give zero notice or reason.
The inconvenience is a pain since I was mid trade and use a cost average strategy, had no plans or time today to print off statments or check their accounting between old and new accounts.
Has anyone else experienced this treatment?
