Has anyone used these guys? http://au.saxomarkets.com/

They look good because they are aussie based and allow you trade many international markets at a reasonable fee (much cheaper than Comsec and ETrade).

I don't want to use Interactive Brokers primarily because of the effort required to open an account and the very low volume of trades I plan to do (<10 trades a year). IB charge a minimum commision per month whereas Saxo don't appear to.

So what's Saxo like? Reliable? Decent platform? No hidden fees?

I'm hoping I can revive this question posted quite a while ago as I am looking at opening an account with Saxo Capital markets. Good commissions, one account for multiple instruments, and trailing stop losses for share purchases. Anyone got any experience now; good, bad, or otherwise?

The Saxo platform has a good layout, but it tends to crash alot,I've used it through their partners in Aus for years, read their PDS very carefully because they like to throw a few surprises at their clients
