Just wondering if anyone here owns/has owned a franchise in the food and/or beverage industry?
And would like to hear some thoughts on whether anyone considers investing in a pre-existing franchise(fully functional staff and all) to be a viable method of generating income? pros and cons?
I have been doing a bit of research/reading, and so far it seems like it's not a bad way to go. The only cons being you are somewhat restricted in running the franchise your way(you must adhere to the franchiser's guidelines/suppliers etc.) and you have to pay x amount each week/month to the franchiser.
It seems to me if you can see the books over the past couple of years of an existing franchise, asses it's worth and find a good buy, that there isn't any real reason to believe that it would be a bad idea.
The only reason I can think of that may cause hesitation is due to the uncertainty on the horizon, and may wait for stability to return(if it ever does)
*not after any advice, just opinions on the topic.
