Neeld had a very good record coaching lesser leagues, but it hasn't translated across to the big leagues. He has no ability to command respect - that's all it comes down to. Anyone with a bit of study can master the tactics of the game; the job of the coach is to employ his charisma, generating a will amongst players to want to impress. Players play for praise and recognition, not for points and percentages. If the coach is running scared, no one will play for him. And that's what goin' on.
