I think the calculations are wrong. There is no way that prices are 1.58x in Dec 07 but only 0.9x in Sep 07.

If you take Dec-06 as the baseline = 1, the Mar-07 figure should be 1+(0.024/4) = 1.006. Better yet use quarter-on-quarter figures although I can only find them back to Dec 07. Second last table from the bottom.

This looks about right... To be fair XJOAI the accumulation index would probably paint a better picture for the market.

Inflation really creeps up on you, doesn't it. I needed to stop and think about how things are 15% more expensive these days than 2007.
