Last night, with a gutsy performance, Cadel Evans secured the Yellow shirt to win the Tour de France.
He will ride into Paris tonight, in the Yellow shirt, in a formality stage, as the first Australian to win the Tour de France.
He has tried for many years, gaining previous podium finishes, and has finally done the job with the help of his team.
He is a very brave and determined rider and has often had to "do it on his own".
This is bigger than Bondy winning the Americas Cup!
Congratulations Cadel! Well done. Australia salutes you.
