In every sector of the market, there are good and bad stocks.
Stocks that go up multiple times and some that decrease hand over fist.
Are we now going to get into a "Stocks vs ETF's" debate? I'm sure that there are stocks that have fall xxxx% too. Don't forget, Apple is helping the Nasdaq a lot!

The problem with Betashares (asxoo in particular) which l traded recently is that it's not liquid enough and the bid/ask is too wide for my comfort level.
Each to their own l guess.

    March 2012: Key ETF performance

And should it even be noted that the natural gas (UNG) ETF is down the most in 2012 with a decline of 31%? We can't remember a time when natural gas wasn't the worst performing asset class on this list!

Here is one for you drillinto

New ETF - BetaShares Australian Equities Bear Hedge Fund (BEAR)

    Objective

The Bear Fund is the first managed fund in Australia that provides investors with a simple way to profit from, or protect against, a decline of the Australian share market. The Fund seeks to generate returns that are negatively correlated to the returns of the Australian share market (as measured by the S&P/ASX 200 index).

Has anyone tried out this product? Seems like a good way to take a short view on the market?
