This question is far from new, but I'm wondering about forum members' priorities in the "desert island" scenario.
Let's say the scene is as follows:
You find yourself on the cliche of the desert island.
You are quite alone.
The island is sandy with some shady palm trees.
There is sufficient rainfall to provide some clean drinking water.
You know a cargo ship travels this part of the world twice a year.
There is a limited supply of coconuts but no other fruit growing.
OK. You may, by the magic of someone's imagination, have five things arrive on your island to be with you. These can be human, animal, vegetable, etc etc.
Remember, there is no power supply so, e.g. you can't have air conditioning for those hot days, or an electric grill to cook the fish you presume abound in the waters at your feet.
My guess is that those responding to this question will provide a huge variety of "necessary things".
Just a bit of fun, but interesting all the same.
