With the recent charging for manslaughter of Australian diggers it now becomes imperative for diggers to become bush lawyers as well as skilled at fighting mad tribal godbotherers.
If the Australian military and guvment are unable to examine the rules of engagement through the command structure, delegating it to civilian type legal processes carries grave dangers for our diggers.
Many of our soldiers are the sons and daughters of ordinary battler families and quite used to being screwed in civilian life by the legal system.
The Australian Army has long been a leveller and protective of its own.
This has now changed.
Morale will suffer, and we as a nation will suffer.
