Its been a very long time in the process, but finally Adelaide is giving up its third world airport and moving into the first world.
At a cost of $260 million, the 750m long terminal, with glass-sided aerobridges, will now be the best terminal within Australia.
If you had ever flown in Adelaide b4 you would have noticed, the filth that confronted you on arrival. No aerobridges mean a short stroll on the tarmac, while getting wet in the rain, then into a bessa block building, with blue carpet.
A filth and a disgrace, and I am very supsrised that the gateway to a city was allowed to become that run-down, in a first world country.
Just waiting now for new IKEA store to open at the airport and I think that will be compensation for the years of filth.
