I'm guessing this will be a brief thread.
I learnt a bit of German at school - scientifically concise! - only a fraction of the words / nuances that the English vocab offers. Some nice poetry.
and whilst I speak a bit of Cantonese, I find it strange hearing Mandarin spoken. ( bludy weird in fact - no offence to Chinese posters, but they only use a fraction of the potential of the tongue and the lips to make a variety of sounds / consonants/ vowels).
The missus speaks a bit of French - picked grapes in Vineyards etc. Gotta be one smooth language!
American (as in USA) is a miscellany of accents, some super attractive, some pretty "rural" and/or backwoods.
A friend is married to a beautiful Italian lady who sings along with taped operas all day as she does the housework - tears and all
Or is it more about the smile that someone offers as they express themselves?
I know which languages / accents I like (I think lol). Anyone want to add their opinions?
