I was musing on the possible Upside /Downside to such a car.It appears to be primarily for the domestic market. At a price of around US $2,200 for the base model this is very affordable for many Indians..as well as many of the less wealthy in other countries.
BUT it will still consume Oil reserves and issue Hydrocarbons.India has, traditionally been a country where most(because of economic circumstance) travelled by bicycle or,if a bit more flush ,motor scooter.
Are they going down the wrong road? ..given peak oil has been reached?
