Just thought I'd share a little thought concerning my food.
I've been looking through the price data of different companies before and shortly after the ex-dividend date.
I found that a company will tend to drop in price more if its the final dividend rather than if it's the interim dividend (I mean relative to its dividend, eg. If a share is at a price and has a final dividend it will drop close to or below the dividend amount, however if it has an interim dividend, it usually drops quite a bit less than the dividend amount).
Any thoughts, or am I missing something?
