I keep hearing "do your research" over and over again.
My idea of doing research would be to ask a broker apart from that I'd like to know how YOU do research.
It's ok to wade through piles of documents on a company but who has the time or patience and what the hell am I looking for anyway ?
What I need is up to date information on a company , it's debt levels and anything else that I should know.
So what do I need to know before buying in and where do I find it, OR do I just pay a full service broker.?
I said I'm out of the share market and wont go back but I still think there's something in this if you just have a bit of knowledge.
What prompts the question is I was interested in Ch 10 because of their new sports channel, Must mean extra revenue, didn't buy though and I hear last night of their perilous position, no dividends this year etc etc I could have bought in without knowing any of this.
So where and how do you do your research and what prompts you to buy ?
