Like probably many ASF users, I get accept various emails in my intray, from "free" offers.
One such is from "Money Morning"
I dont always read them, but I just read same and noticed it was pumping some oil company or other.
recently someone was pumping Linc (up to $17) and Ceramic Fuel Cells ( $4.50)...think it may have been them
Has anyone payed any attention to this newsletter?
I added LNC and CFU on my watchlist and notice the prices have tanked big time, since.
So I am wondering if they may be what is termed a "pump and dump" operation?
disclosure, I already owned LNC, sure glad I didnt follow their recommendation.
I could be entirely incorrect, it may not be them, that is why I am asking
Not sure about LNC except they may be pulling out of the QLD operation.
As for CFU, it's just really really bad luck, or rather, bad luck to the shareholders who thought they had a great technology. Just look at their share prices now, down to ten of cents! Largely thanks to their huge investment in "A+ grade" mortgage securities that had to be written off! Why is such an innovative company with a great potential technology had to invest their liquid assets in such dodgy stuff? Someone have to take the blame on this.
And no, I have not invested in CFU. I'm monitoring them to see how the rest of their financial assets (still quite a bit in mortgage securities) fare out. Though the technologies are still there, but it's sad to see they may have to sell off their powder factory in Germany.
