The problem as only recently exploded.
I have tried to discuss the matter with him, after writing down my concerns on paper, for considered discussion...it did'nt go too well.
I did a little research on the net, and came away more concerned.
I have imposed an absolute limit of 40hrs per week ( as i write this, it seems absurdly high)...but he wants to exceed that!
he is 14
prior to me getting him his own computer, i was having quite a few problems, with his school work and behaviour.
my conundrum is that these matters have now improved somewhat.

i consider it an addiction, and dealing with addiction is difficult.
it seems to be especially pernicious, as they work in teams (guilds)...and if u arnt in then they ditch u.
it also appears to me that his other local friends that play for lengthy periods, do so due at least partially, to a lack of parental supervision or control
my other sons have played or do play, but nothing like the above described.
the reason i post on this forum is that i suspect we might have some computer heads lurking
