In the '7.30 Report' this evening Kerry O'Brien interviewed Hugh McKay, the social researcher. It occurred to me that this is one person for whom I have complete respect.
His work always seems to be completely unbiased and professional, and he can deliver political and social forecasts in an apolitical way.
It started me wondering what other Australians ASF members consider to be worthy of respect. We live in a very cynical age, especially as far as politicians are concerned. Often we don't trust our police forces or the judiciary, so surely we need some trusted people to provide us with a sense of moral outline.
Who do you think can fill this demanding role?
Alternatively, who do you consider is the antithesis of a trusted person, i.e. the well known person/persons whom you most despise.
And, of course, we need to have the 'why' in both instances.
