hi guys,
I am new to the stock market, i am just wondering where do you find good information? Like breaking news etc? I only read on Yahoo's Finance section, but find the info lagging behind the market?

any advice is appreciated.... Thank you!

Thanks for your reply...

but ASX does not show news, speculation etc, when the announcement is out, it is usually too late to make a move anyway...

and ASF is more of a secondary source... so i am just wondering if there are some good primary info sources? i see ppl posting on this forum knowing announcements will be made soon etc... so i am wondering where and how can you find such info? Thank you.

So you want to know about announcements before the rest of the market.
This is illegal.

BUT If you are a big player, you can get this from your broker.
A while ago a mate of mine got tipped off on NIA the morning just before the big move with Forrest joining the board.
He's with Citigroup.

If you are not a big player, well, then you just have to settle for getting the info the same time as everybody else.
