Sat next to a Sri Lanken Stunner last night at a $200/head New Years eve Ball.
Humbling to find out that our ticket price was over 3 mths pay in many cases.
Worked out that my wage bill for the 15 staff I have could have employed me around 350 Sri lankens!!
So as we continue to accumulate our wealth (and so we should ---we have the opportunity so use it!),remember that no matter how poor you are in this country you are richer than 95% of those on this planet!!
Enjoy 2005 its another year in the short visit we have here.

Why don't we just share some of our money? After all you even get tax benefits and this is as good a time as any to share. If someone is particularly tight you can start with as little as $10- it builds character to give to the needy and the opressed, or volunteer your time instead. I have a goal to give away a certain amount of money every year (just as I have a goal to make a certain amount every year). Even George Soros donates so I can't see why we traders don't.

Many of us do but dont talk about it.
The public of Australia have been fantastic with $50 mill donated thus far. When you have been to places like Indonesia,Thialand youll realise that these people will never have the OPPORTUNITES you and I have.
They will never(well most)be in the position to own a company,Trade the stock market, buy and sell property.Even to travel.
Yet if you need a meal they will be the first to invite you into their home and family.
They are few poor in this country and most of them are by choice!!
