Is it just my pc or is the Etrade site down?!!?!?!?!?!?!?
All other websites are functioning ok, like this one, so I am assuming Etrade is down.
Does this happen often to them?
What if i cant sell and loose out big can ANZ be accountable? Or is there some fine print somewhere whereby if the site is down it is my responsibility to use the phone etc.

It is Saturday mate, why do you need to trade now? :confused:
Commsec is often down for short spurts over the weekend. It makes sense to me. When else
are they going to do maintenance?

Site is up here.
Also, if it was going to be down, the weekend would be the time to do it. I can't remember ever having seen the Etrade site down during trading hours for more than a few minutes.

They had a message up yesterday saying they would be doing maintenance over the weekend and the site might be unavailable for short periods.

Thats right Sailor,but the down time generally lasts for a number of hours.
They give plenty of warning and tell you why,so why is this guy panicking :mad:

E*Trade has to accommodate HSBC traders now, so probably maintenance is an understatement.
Hope there are no glitches.

The warning has been up for days,they will be out of action from 6am to 9 pm.
