Hi Lewiswa
Welcome to ASF
I haven't although I've noticed that Seismo have really been stepping up their advertising in Your Trading Edge magazine over the past two issues. They advertised with free promo CD last month.
Let us know what its like.

I have been using Seismo for about a year and subscribed to their trading alerts/ideas recently. The education and support is excellent the program is very easy to use. Whilst i'm not a big CFD trader seismo has some excellent tools to assist in CFD trading. Seismo has excellent trading results Which are posted on their website.
Would totally recommend a free trial. I have been speaking to Jim taig the managing director who has been really helpful.

For $3,500 it would need to produce. There are many free programs out there plus your own knowledge base to compare. I haven't signed up, I am never cumfortable having to pay such prices for (magic) software.
You can't just load a free trial and test it, you need to sit through the ~1hr phone call, cold sell, and the trial lasts up to 30days.

COGS have you undertaken the trial......Seismo isn't just software it is the whole education. I can’t imagine buying any software with no explanation on how to use it from the developer, it would be like driving a F1 race when you just got your license...... Comparing this to free software is ridicules. I have used free software and its crap.....
I think the performance on the website speaks for its self. Trading isn’t about killing the pig it’s about making consistent low risk trades over a long period of time and having the descipline to take your stops.
Too many people on this forum believe they are going to make a fortune out of the share market overnight. They come with tool little resources (capital, tools and strategy) unfortunately its not a matter IF, but when they will blow themselves up.

Mavis,
It is fairly obvious of your involvement.
I would be more likely to recommending starting off with something a little more low risk, like shares with Metastock or similar at half the price, and learning medium to long term trading before diving straight into CFD's and being taught someone else's trading techniques.
There are too many of these systems out there that the uneducated shell out their hard earned, and fall for. It is actually proportional to someone selling a you bute EA.
Why would you sell something that is so successful? It's a business venture for the creators.
Hey it may work, but so does a few short and long term MA's.

I could say the same about you and Metastock, which by the way is an archaic piece of crap and difficult to use. No I’m not involved I’m just over people on this forum giving uniformed advice on products and investments that they know nothing about.
I was asked to give an opinion on Seismo, which i did. You were not helpful to the snow man. All you did was comment on the price and be negative about the product, despite having no experience with the software....
I never said jump straight into CFD's......The software can be used for CFD and Share trading.

Thanks for the relies; I didn't know the cost was that high; they have not responded to the form I filled in on their website 24 hours ago....
I am overseas, so the training and what not probably not good for my time and work schedule, don't see me taking this up any time soon.
Mavis, are you long term trader? If so, can you give us any example a Seismo trade, thanks, John

HI, I trialled it a couple of years ago. It was easy to use, and all that, and the MD personally took me through how to use it. Worries me that an Managing Director has the time to do this !!!! I baulked at the cost, and the lack of flexibility in creating your own indicators. I was using bullCharts (and still am) which i find very flexible, and quite easy to use. The speed of searches/scans would be have been one of the strong points of Seismo.
Note that was a couple of years ago, and I am pretty sure the application has undergone some significant upgrading incl CFD related things....... will be checking out the webinar referred to above.... Intyeresting they don't have a stand at the investors/trader expo this w/e
