I am trying to setup my explorer in metastock so that when I want to do a scan all my stock folders from A-Z are scanned, hence all asx listing will be searched for a certain event.

At the moment I can select 1 folder at a time then have to manually select every other letter of the alphabet to add them seperately.

Cheers

Correct.

Simply run a scan of Close in filter
Then save list from Radio buttons on right then name the list ASX
simply run tests using that saved list.

Thats a good way to do it. Also, not a lot of people notice the little drop down arow beside the "open" button in the explorer. If you click it, there is an option to "open all folder contents". If you highlight the ASX folder first (without double clicking it) and use that small arrow, it will automaticly load all the alphabetical folders for you.
