Hi all,

On the bid/ask prices - I frequently see bids for only 1 share.

What's going on here?? I would imagine it's institutions putting these orders in - as commissions would burn retail investors.. Does anyone have a greater insight into this?

Thanks.

It happens a lot as a "market to market" valuation. Especially around this time, end of quarter etc, so insto can value a portfolio on illiquid stocks

or they can be pricing transactions for off market transfers.

etc

TH, Normally off market transfers happen EOD at the closing price. At least that is what i have always done when doing them for clients..
