if i set an order and it gets partially filled, the stock moves back up, and i choose to execute the remaining at a higher price, will i get charged one lot of brokerage or will they deem it two seperate orders?

Think it may depend on the broker.
Ive done it on Commsec and only got charged 1 lot of brokerage but cant comment for other brokers but would guess its the same.

I'm with CommSec as well, and I believe that if you just "Amend" the order, it's just the 1 brokerage.
But if you "Cancel" the order and then place another one at the higher price, then it's double the cost.
Might be different for each broker though as stated by Pager.
